Dubai: Emirates Suratkal Parishioners Association(ESPA)  based at Dubai, celebrated the feast  of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was a fun filled day long program arranged at India Club-Dubai for members and their families.  The event started with a prayer to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. The ESPA president Ashok welcomed the parishioners and guests. 

 

ESPA advisor Valerian D’Almeida and Canute  fired up the audience with humor and  spot games. Spot games winners were presented with attractive  prizes. Members of the association and their children presented dance performances,  and comedy skits and kept the gathering entertained

Post a mouth watering and sumptuous  lunch, a new managing committee  for the next 2 years was elected.  ESPA advisor Valerian D’Almeida  was the returning officer,  and conducted the election process smoothly. ESPA member Roydon Roche was unanimously elected as the President of ESPA for the new term of 2 years.  

Along with Mr. Roydon Roche, Clara was elected as secretary and Vinith as Treasurer.  Members recommended  the names of  committee members,  and  after  finalization of the list of  office bearers and committee members, Valerian  offered his best wishes to  the new committee,  and appreciated the good work of previous committee under the leadership  of  Ashok. 

The new president Roydon requested everyone’s support for ESPA in the coming days and thanked all those who made the celebration a day to remember.  The managing committee honored the artists with presents and the game winners with prizes.   Members and guests enjoyed dancing to the baila towards the end of the function.
