Qatar: The rich heritage group of culture and tradition of Bunts hailing from Coastal part of Karnataka and Maharashtra celebrated the second annual day on Friday 28 at the Al Maha Boys Academy in Doha.
The program began with songs by guest artistes Anitha D’souza and Prahlad Bhat, from Mangalore wherein the welcome dance was choreographed by Dimple and performed by Bunt kids and Bunts Ladies Chaitali Shetty, Chaitali Suhas, Akshaya Shetty, Dhanlakshmi Rai and Shilpa Shetty.
Popular Kannada writer, columnist, activist and a well-known Bunt Dr Narendra Rai Derla graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. President Ravi Shetty and Vice – President Prakashchandra Ajila escorted the chief guest Dr Narendra Rai to the dais. General secretary Navneeth Shetty, cultural secretary Akshatha Hegde was also present on the dais.
President Ravi Shetty gave the keynote addressed and lauded his voice for the team spirit by his fellow members and all well-wishers. Prakashchandra Ajila introduces the chief guest to the audience, which was followed by honouring the chief guest Dr Narendra Rai by Ravi Shetty.
