‘Don’t treat women special but give them equal opportunity’

Mangaluru: Thank You Karnataka is a series of programmes organised to celebrate decennial year of NewsKarnataka and thus thank Kannadigas all over the globe for supporting the Spearhead Media Group to achieve this milestone.

One of the programmes under Thank You Karnataka series is the Womenia, a show that promotes women of impact, entrepreneurs and achievers that is aired every Thursday.
The guest of the 18th episode aired on Thursday February 16 was Nanditha Acharya, Managing Partner, Zari Couture. The anchor person for the programme was Ananya Hegde.

The programme was premiered on NewsKarnataka.com’s YouTube Channel.

Nanditha Acharya reminisced her childhood wherein she as a child waited for her father’s return from his business trip, fragnance of mom’s homemade ice cream and a cosy environment of being teased by brother.

Sharing the inspiration behind the brain child Zari Couture, Nanditha Acharya recalled the days when she with her mother in-law went to Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai in order to buy an exclusive ethnic wear, whih acted as a push factor behind Zari Couture.

As a key factor towards success Nanditha Acharya shared ‘Discipline, Smart work over hardwork, Innovation and Evolution’ as some elements. Every day is a struggle, every day is a hussle. We need to take help if we have to balance career and home. There is no perfect balance between the both but for me my mother and husband have been my support in this journey, said Nanditha Acharya on balancing family and career.

“Women empowerement is important as it is will make the life of men easy too. Don’t treat women special but give them equal opportunity,” says Nanditha Acharya as an advice to the audience.
