St Agnes College holds a two-day workshop on CBT

Mangaluru: The Department of Clinical Psychology, Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), organized a two-day workshop on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) on Feb 15 and 16, 2023. Dr Jini Gopinath conducted the workshop, a trained Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist who has done extensive work in the field of mental health, wellness and education over the past 20 years.

Currently, he is working as the Chief Psychology Officer at YourDost.Com. He is also visiting faculty at several prestigious institutions across the country. YourDost is an online counselling and emotional support platform designed to foster mental wellness. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a treatment approach that helps one recognize negative or unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns. CBT aims to identify and explore how emotions and thoughts affect one’s actions. 

St Agnes College holds a two day workshop on CBT The workshop began with a prayer sung by Diya and Eliza. The workshop was hosted by Daania, I year M.Sc. Clinical Psychology student. This skill training workshop was attended by the UG and PG Psychology students of the college. The goal of the workshop was to introduce CBT techniques and strengthen their knowledge in regard to psychological interventions.
