Mangaluru: The Excise sleuths and police personnel, on Monday resorted to destroying huge cache of narcotic substances confiscated by them in 17 separate cases.

The destroyed cache included 6.5 kgs of marijuana, 960 gms of heroin, 950 gms of brown sugar and 1.2 kg of charas.

The drugs were set ablaze at Nehru Maidan as per the Narcotics and Psychotropics Act of 1985.
