Mysuru: AIDS patients should be considered as human beings and we should be supportive to them in order to help them lead their life said Dr Pushpavathi Amarnath President Zilla Panchayath after inaugurating the World AIDS day program organised by JSS Nursing College and school of Nursing, District Health and Family Welfare Officers Bureau Mysuru, and the IMA Mysuru.

She opined that the numbers of AIDS affected cases should be controlled by giving basic education to the people.
“NGO and other private organisation should join with the Govt to control AIDS and in the treatment of AIDS affected cases. AIDS patients should use the facilities given the Govt.” she added.
Presiding officer, Dr R K Chaturvedi Director of JSS Hospital educated the gathering about AIDS and how to prevent it from spreading. He also gave information regarding ICTC and ART treatments system to the AIDS affected cases.
Proper counselling and treatment given by hospitals will be helpful to the patients to postpone death he said. A proper knowledge will help to avoid AIDS in the society in added.
