Mysuru: On the lines of demand for software engineers, in the recent years, after International Yoga Day started, the demand for Yoga Gurus or trainers across the world has increased, said former minister and MLA S A Ramdas.
Speaking after inaugurating the GSS Yoga School at Kuvempunagar on Udayaravi Road, he said, “Yoga trainers who go to foreign countries for teaching should be well versed in the subject because they are not only going as instructors but also representing the country. If they fail to deliver or give proper training they are not only getting a bad name for themselves but also for the country. In the world, India is considered numero uno for Yoga and in India and Mysuru is called the Yoga Hub in the country. Hence it is our responsibility to produce quality Yoga trainers. I am very confident that GSS Yoga School with its founder Srihari Dwarkanath will take all the measures to produce quality Yoga trainers who are in great demand across the world.” He also appreciated Srihari, who was also instrumental in getting all Yoga centres under one platform and creating a world record in Yoga during International Yoga Day celebration.
“This school should become a Yoga Research University and a model to the world”, added Ramdas.

Speaking to Newskarnataka Srihari Dwarkanath, Founder Trustee of GSS Yoga Foundation, said, “We have come across many people especially the aged people suffering from various health-related issues. The common health problems the aged people suffer from are knee pain, back pain, spondylitis in the neck region, the feet problem, blood pressure and diabetes. By practising Yoga for a few minutes these health problems can be prevented and those already having problems can be healed.”
