Mysore : A six-day TEQIP Workshop on Servicing and Maintenance of UPSs and Air conditioners organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication of the Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering was inaugurated at IS & CS Seminar Hall, SJCE Mysore on Monday July 14. The workshop was organised in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of the College.



Chief Guests D Bharadwaj, Chief Regional Manager, Aplab Ltd Bangalore, M S Naveen Chandra, Director Silicon Controls Pvt Ltd Mysore and Dr. Syed Shakeeb Ur Rahman, Principal SJCE, Mysore inaugurated the workshop by lighting the traditional lamp.
D Bharadwaj gave a talk on improving the performance and increasing the lifetime of computers, medical equipment and the laboratory equipment.
The workshop aims at improving the skill and technical ability of the students, train them to use modern techniques of UPSs, batteries and Air conditioners and to develop overall ability to reduce cost, improve quality and increase productivity.
Some of the topics that will be dealt with in the workshop include fundamentals of sources and UPSs, Uninterrupted Power supplies Servicing and maintenance, Fundamentals of Air Conditioner, Air conditioners servicing and maintenance, Storage battery maintenance and hands-on training on UPSs and air conditioners.
The workshop is meant for technical staff of engineering colleges, Polytechnics and other academic institutions.
