Nanjangud: The bride and groom all ready to tie the knots were dressed elegantly in a wedding attire and meticulously woven flower garland. The people of the village staged a function and made their marriage happen.

You might be wondering as to why such a common arrangement is discussed. This marriage is special as it has a twist in it!

The twist is it’s not a common marriage between humans but donkeys. Yes, you got it right!

The people of Hura village Nanjangud town arranged a marriage between two donkeys. The male donkey is said to have grown in a goat farm. For two years the male donkey had grown up playing with its goat friends and was living happily. The villagers believed that a sole donkey is not a good sign of fortune for the village.

After a strenuous search, they found a female donkey and bought it from Nanjangud and arranged a marriage with the male donkey of the village. The donkeys were dressed to look alike bride and groom.

After the marriage, the villagers had a delicious treat. Clean and tasty food was served. Villagers who were upset according to the belief of sole donkey bringing misfortune have now sighed a relief and are happy.
