Mysuru: Unity in diversity is still a living dream in a democratic secular country like India. The youth of the nation are the only assets who can change things. The reformation in society must be made with the involvement of students in society, said Revenue and district in-charge minister V Srinivas Prasad

He was speaking in the valedictory programme of cultural forum, National service scheme and sports activities of the year 2014-15 held at Maharani Science College for women here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the programme he said, “Any country can gain progress comprehensively with sheer involvement of youth. Japan is a set example which emerged as one of the strongest countries across the globe despite suffering from bomb attack in Second World War. Being the citizen of this country I am proud as well as I regret. The problem is every child that takes birth in India is at caste at birth and not patriotism.”
Speaking about the construction of new Maharani’s college he said, “the construction of Maharani commerce college for women is already started in Hootghalli and arts and science college will be constructed at Nanjaraja Bahadhur choultry. We have already sorted out place but could not accomadate funds in the present budget due to the other constrains. State government has more concentrated to fulfil the assurances that was made in congress manifestos during assembly elections.”
