UGC recognition is my priority, says KSOU VC Prof Shivalingaiah

Mysuru: Prof Shivalingaiah who assumed charge as Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University(KSOU) on Friday said that he would give special attention to renew the UGC recognition to the university.

Speaking to reporters the new vice chancellor said that he would discuss with the senior officials and make efforts to get UGC approval to KSOU.
“There is no point in continuing as vice chancellor without having UGC approval for the University. Hence my first priority is to get it done. Also  the university has several facilities which needs to be implemented in a impartial and transparent manner,” he said.

“All the issues within KSOU must be set right and then we will introduce new courses by making best use of basic resources available at KSOU. On first day itself, I have called a meeting with statutory officials to know about activities of the university,” he said.
