Mysuru: Two teams have been formed to nab Karthik who killed his estranged wife in a fit of rage suspecting her fidelity in JP Nagar on Tuesday.

Sunita (29) is the deceased woman, who was allegedly murdered by her former husband Karthik. Ten years ago she got married to Karthik. Though initially both were having a happy life differences arose between the two few years ago which culminated in a divorce last month. Karthik is the son of late Thandavamurthy who was working in Railways.

After marriage, the couple was living in Lokkahalli in Shimoga but after the relationship turned sour, Sunita started to reside with her parents along with her 8-year-old son at JP Nagar in Mysuru.

On the pretext of meeting his son, Karthik visited his estranged wife, got involved in a verbal duel with her while dropping their son back home from school, stabbed her to death and fled the scene. Vidyaranyapuram police are investigating.
