Mysore : The man-eater tiger which was trapped at Chikkabaragi in HD Kote taluk here recently, is actually not a man-eater, say  lab test reports.

Informing this, BP Ravi, Executive Officer of the Mysore Zoo has said the 12 year old tiger which was trapped and brought to the zoo was named Shiva and its blood and stool samples sent for lab tests to  the National Centre For Biological Sciences,  and the Centre for Molecular Biology at Hyderabad.

The lab test reports of blood samples do not prove the presence of human DNA. The officer said  the stool test report is being awaited and this report will confirm  whether the tiger was a man eater or not.

The tiger is now healthy and all its injuries have been cured doctors attending on the tiger said.
