Mysuru: A businessman from Kerala lost Rs 4.40 Lakh from his car parked in a crowded area of the city as thieves managed to hoodwink everyone and decamped with the cash after removing car panes on November 2.
Abdul Nazir, a native of Kerala, owns a farm house and poultry farm in Gudulur near Ooty. In order to procure feed for chicken, he alighted to visit Mysuru Poultry Association office at 9.30 am on the busy Seethalakshmi Road. By the time he returned at 10.20 am, thieves had managed to break in and take away Rs 4.40 Lakh cash kept in the car.

Recounting the incident, businessman Nazir said the cash meant to be delivered to the land owner from whom he had bought the land at Begur in Gundlupet, was flicked in no time as he had alighted to buy feed for his poultry farm.

It was clear from his views that he did not foresee such an incident in the crowded area.

Lakshmipuram Police arrived on the spot within few minutes and registered a complaint.
