Mysuru:“The Difference between what we learn during our academic study from our books and what we learn in the field from our experience has been a hindrance in quality output”, opined Vasu, MLA Chamaraja Constituency after inaugurating the 20th Training programme organised by the empanelled  training Institute of the Karnataka State Open University.

He said, “there is a kind of lack of initiative among the youth today. They are not motivated to work towards the welfare of not only self but for the country. 50 years ago this was not the condition. Many of the social activists and leaders were dedicated towards the development of the country. Many heritage buildings are built by leaders with the intention to serve the society they are still in good condition. Contrary to this, even with technological advancement we have lagged behind compared to other countries. Inferiority complex among the students might be the reason he added.

Further alluding to the contributions of Kempe Gowda he said he was secular leader did not constrain himself to one community. He was a visionary and served with a mission and foresightedness for the wellbeing of all.

Referring to the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan that is taking place all over the country he said that Swacch Bharath has only remained as a Photo mania for many of the Politicians and officials with no end results.

Prof. M G Krishnan VC KSOU and Dr. N R Chandregowda Co-Ordinator NSS Training Centre KSOU were present.
