Mysore :A 2 day UGC Sponsored National seminar on Educational Vision and Mission of Swami Vivekananda was held at the Swami Vivekananda centenary hall, University of Mysore. The seminar coincided with the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which was also celebrated.






The program was presided over by Dr H Nanje Gowda, Principal of Yuvaraja College, Mysore. Srimad Veereshananada Swamiji was the chief guest. He along with K S Ranagappa Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore lit the inaugural lamp.
Swamji eduacted the gathering about the great works of Swami Vivekananda and his view of life and Nation. He also said that Swami Vivekananda has good relationship with the Maharajas of Mysore. He motivated the students with the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
He also said that Swami Vivekananda had great respect worldwide, with more than 80 nations following his teachings. India has not produced a man like Swami Vivekananda and youth must read Swami Vivekananda and include his teachings in their daily life.
He shared his experience of world tour and seminars on Swami Vivekananda.
Rangappa said that students strive to inform themselves about the teachings and life of Swami Vivekananda through the seminar and must imbibe and spread the same to others . He also added the that UNO has decided that Swami Vivekananda birthday will be celebrated as World Youth day across the world.
