Young Television actress Sangeetha Bhat ready for Sandalwood

Sangeetha Bhat, the beautiful Sandalwood actress who has taken a leap to big screen from the tele-world is all set to make a mark in Sandalwood, the Kannada film world.

Sangeetha who has her roots in Kasargod, was born and brought-up in Bangalore. The multi-linguistic starlet, holds a degree in Political Science, but aims to build a career in the field of the visual arts.

In a  candid interview  with NewsKarnataka.com, Sangeetha said, “I love arts and have been involved with dance and music from an early age. My father loved art and always motivated me towards arts and culture. Likewise my mother was a child artist, but as she did not get the required support to peruse it, she has been supporting me”, said Sangeetha

Sangeethg has has been courting the visual arts industry since the age of 16.  She started with a television serial ‘Bhagyavantharu’ directed by S Govind.  Even as she  became a star in tlhe world of family television entertainment,  she acted in an an offbeat art movie called “Mannina Madilu”, by Sangam and a music video called “Saniha”.

Her real  journey to fame on the big screen, commenced with the movie, “Mamu Tea Angadi” after which the gorgeous actress has not looked back. Even before her film “Mamu Tea Angadi” was released, she starred in “Preethi Geethi Ityadi” and is also shooting for Vijay Raghavendra’s directorial debut “Kismat”.

Her first release, “Preeti Geethi Ityaadi” which had Pavan Wadeyar in the lead fetched Sangeetha a splendid icritic and audience response for her performance.  The movie directed by Veerendra portrayed the actress ias a middle class college going girl.

Aspiring to be like the veterans Madhuri Dixit or Malashree, Sangeetha says  recognition has come her way mainly through the small screen. She told newskarnataka that she wanted to make a name for herself on the big screen as well.

Sangeetha says that though the audience has finally accepted her, she wants to take small steps to fulfilling her desire of big screen stardom.

According to Sangeetha, she is getting various offers,  but at this moment she wants to be choosy and wants to calibrate  her journey towards stardom carefully,  learning the ropes working with various actors and actresses. She revealed that she does not have any preferences among co stars.

When asked, what she would have liked to  be if she were not an actress, Sangeetha says, she would rather be a director or a producer, but she is firmly rooted to the  film industry, itself.

Sangeetha was seen in the city promoting her upcoming Kannada film Kismat, a remake of Neram, in which she stars opposite Vijay Raghavendra. She has high expectations of  the film doing well, and says that the audience will enjoy it.
