Mysuru: Even after almost two years of launching Swach Bharath Mission, this particular village has not showed any interest to adopt it.

This Koppa village attached to Mysuru and Kodagu border is stinking due to the foul smell emanating from the waste dumped on the road.
The local gram panchayath is acting as if it has no connection to the clean India mission. Due to the negligence of the local administration, waste has piled up on both the sides of the road and open drains have made the life of the residents hell.
The village has total strength of over 2,000 to 3,000 residents. Close to the village, there is Golden temple at Bailukuppe. Tourists who visit this place complain of garbage menace.
The drainages constructed over 35 years ago have been not managed properly, due to which waste and water does not flow to the other end. Due to stagnated drains, there is a fear of rise in epidemics.
Garbage is dumped on the main road leading to Tibet camp in Koppa which needs to be cleared immediately by the Gram panchayath.
