Mysuru golden chariot and throne issue reaches Supreme Court

Mysuru: The issue pertaining to the Golden chariot and the throne has now reached Supreme Court, with historian Professor Nanjaraj Urs filing fresh petition.
Since the petition was filed during court holiday, it would be taken up for hearing after holi, it is said.

Earlier, he had filed a petition in the High Court in 2015, in which he stated that the golden chariot and the throne which is under Royal family must come under state government as per the 1998 Palace Acquisition Act. He also stated in the PIL that lakhs of rupees collected as royalty which is then handed over to the royal family must be stopped.
