Mysore: Governor and Chancellor Vajubhai Vala has ordered to conduct inquiries against K S Rangappa, Vice-Chancellor,University of Mysore.

Rangappa has been alleged of violating the law and order during his term as Vice Chancellor of Karnataka Open University while granting promotion to illegible candidates, also approving the development tenders such as guest house renovation, construction of administration block, canteen, Vigyaan Bhavan and examination hall. All this he assigned to the one company and at the completion of his tenure.

Besides, he has been charged of disobeying rules and regulations of Distant Education Division, HRD department of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), UGC during his term.
