Mysuru: A young widow committed suicide leaving behind a death note in N R Mohalla limits on February 27. In the note she has stated that she took the extreme step after being unable to bear pressure from a youth in the neighbourhood forcing her to love and marry him .
Melina, aged 26, a lab technician is the deceased.
Melina’s husband had died of heart attack within a month after her marriage in Bengaluru. She returned to her parents after his death and started residing in Kurimandi locality of the city.
In the meantime, Roshan, her immediate neighbour started harassing her repeatedly. He entered her house last morning and forced her to get married to him. Disturbed by the events, she left for her institute where she was pursuing lab technician’s course. When she returned home in the evening, Roshan’s relatives accused her of ruining the youngster’s future.
Unable to bear the insults, she decided to end her life, leaving behind a death note.
In her death note, she has accused Mamatha, Lilly, Pappy, Mallika and Raja of being responsible for her death.
N R Mohalla police have arrested the five accused and are investigating further.
