Mysuru: Former district minister Srinivas Prasad said today that he was not depressed or disappointed for being dropped from cabinet, but very disappointed the way he was dropped. He also said that is was very upset the way Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took up cabinet reshuffle.
A day after being dropped from the cabinet and ministry, Srinivas Prasad said, “Before dropping me they should have told me but they didn’t do that. It’s really bad on the part of chief minister Siddaramaiah. There were no plans to remove me from the ministry, but it was surprising when I came to know that I was removed from the cabinet. It’s not the way to treat a senior leader who has rendered service to the party for more than 40 years”.
“I am unable to understand Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s mindset. In the cabinet reshuffle, Siddaramaiah has shown that there is no scope for sincerity and honesty. Earlier he had said that he will not contest election any more. All of sudden, there is a u-turn and now he is telling that he will contest from Chamundeshwari constituency. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah doesn’t know how the ministry should work and that’s the reason he has removed me. In the next assembly election people will teach him a lesson. I will take future course of action after having talks with my followers. For reshuffling and expansion of Cabinet, Siddaramaiah instead of having talks with party senior leaders, he had talks with other leaders. This is the style of functioning of Siddaramaiah. Seeking help, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had come to my door step. I never went to his home,” added Prasad.
He also mentioned that Siddaramaiah is not having gratitude. “When he was to be made the Deputy Chief Minister of the State, I had put a lot of effort. That also enabled him to become the chief minister” said Prasad.
