Six persons including minor arrested, stolen goods worth Rs 7 lakh recovered

Mysuru: With the arrest of six persons including a minor, Mysuru district police solved 14 cases reported in Mysuru South, Jayapura and Nanjangud police Station limits and have recovered stolen goods worth Rs 7 lakh including teak wood, four vehicles and 32 mobiles phones.

Based on complaints, the district Police under the supervision of Additional SP Kala Krishnaswamy and Mysuru (South Rural Division) Dy.SP Vikram Amte formed a team comprising Mysuru South Circle Inspector R Jagadish, PSI M Mahesh, Yelwal PSI Ganesh, Jayapura PSI B.G. Mahesh and constables Manjunath, Harishkumar, Zahoor Ahmed, Mohammed Ismail, Ramesh, Ravi, Nagendra and Narayan. The team while on rounds intercepted a car with six persons roaming around suspiciously and questioned them.

During interrogation, the police found that the gang from Gundlpet was involved in highway robbery. The accused have been identified as Imran, resident of Zakir Hussain Nagar; Jabbar, ITI student residing in Janatha Colony; Mahendra a resident of Nayakara Beedi; Tejas, a resident of Kurubara Beedi; Gopinath, a resident of Janatha Colony and a minor, all from Gundlpet. With the arrest of six persons, police has solved two highway dacoity cases reported in Mysuru South Rural and Nanjangud Rural Police Stations.
