Mysuru: The Muslim girl who was forcefully abducted from Mysuru couple of weeks ago, appeared before the Court on Thursday and pleaded before the court to give her an opportunity to live with her husband.
Obliging to her humble request, the Court has ordered that Halima cannot be separated from her husband at any cost and that she will have to live with her husband.
Halima Shahil, a girl hailing from Mangaluru had fallen in love with Shivaraj and married him against the wishes of her parents.
Fearing threats from her family, Halima and Shivraj relocated to Mysuru. However, on December 4, 2015, Halima was abducted from Krishnamurthypuram when the couple was riding back home. The abductors had assaulted Shivaraj before taking away Halima and now it is said that disturbed by the inter-religious wedding of his daughter, Halima’s father D K S Hameed had plotted the abduction of his daughter.
Following Halima’s abduction, Shivaraj move to court and filed Habeas Corpus. The Court had directed the Mysuru Police Commissioner to produce the girl before the Court by January 11.
After forming three teams to track the girl, on Thursday, the police brought the girl before the court, which ordered that the two lovers be united.
