Mysore:The cultural exchange should take place between the people of Uttar Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada during Dasara Utsav, said state rural development and Panchayatraj minister H K Patil.
The minister Patil was speaking after inaugurating the rural Dasara that was organized as part of Dasara Mahotsava–2013 at Nanjanagod, here.
The cultural exchange would unite the people. In order to maintain the indigenousness, the rural cultural sports need to be revived that could be achieved Dasara in rural level, said minister Patil.
The state administration has introduced rural Dasara, with the objective of fostering the rural cultural hierarchy and to provide a platform to exhibit rural talent and strengthen unity, added minister Patil.
The state revenue and district-in-charge minister V Srinivas Prasad presided the programme.
Chamarajanagar MP R Druvanarayan, ZP president M Mahadev, MLC Dharmasena, TP president S M Mallikarjunaswamy, Kotehundi Mahadeva, T S Satyanand, DC C Shikha, ZP CEO PA Gopal and others were present on the occasion.
