The electricity generated through this project will cost Rs 2.54 per unit which is lower compared to other hydroelectric power generating costs in operation.

According to KPC sources, an eight meter retainer wall will be constructed and the water then would flow into a tunnel of length five kms where rotors will be employed under water to drive six turbines. The cost of the project will be Rs 897 crores and will help in generating 200 MW additional power.
