Mangaluru: The BJP seems to have already plunged into action to make a slug fest out of the two suicide cases of DySPs in the state.
Fast to act, District BJP President Sanjeeva Mattandur has demanded action against those individuals who find a mention in DySP M K Ganapathi’s suicide note.

Addressing a news conference on Friday, Mattandur said that the death of Ganapathi only reflects the sad state of affairs that exists within the police department, ably created by political interference.

“The state government has created a highly unfavorable atmosphere in the state for the bureaucrats to function. Death of Mallikarjuna Bande to suicide of Dy SP Ganapathi to harassment case of DC Shikha and even death of able IAS officer D K Ravi, the incidents hold mirror to failure of the present state government,” he said adding that the CBI must be asked to probe not Ganapathi’s death case.

However, Mattandur also said that there was no role for the BJP to play in DySP Kallappa Handibhag’s death case and that a CID probe would suffice.
