Our clinical staff will give inputs and inturn the experts from IISC will develop new device and technology. Though we have allocated Rs 20 Crore for research this year, we are even ready to allocate more if there are more proposals which are really innovative. Every year, apart from the proposals from medical and dental colleges (80 to 90 proposals from each college) we get proposals from pharmacy colleges as well.”
Partial revision of syllabus for Medical students:
The Syllabus and Curriculum Redesign Committee has been formed to make some changes in the existing syllabus. There was hardly more focus on bio ethics, research methodology, emergency treatment and on preventive aspects. Hence, keeping this in mind, the committee will be giving little more emphasis on the above said topics and redesign the curriculum.
