Mysuru: A professor who had allegedly molested a research scholar at Manasa Gangotri campus was thrashed by the victim’s family and the public. Dayananda Mane of the Political Science department was at the receiving end of  public ire after he was accused of sexual assault charges.
On Tuesday, the victim’s family along with the public entered the Political science department at Manasa Gangotri and thrashed the professor.

Jayalaxmipuram police arrived to the college premises and have taken the accused professor into custody for questioning. No complaint has been filed in this regard, police said.
