Protest rally in Delhi on Nov 1 demanding Kodava Land

Mysore :  Kodava National Council President NU Nachappa has said a huge protest march will be taken out in New Delhi on November 1 demanding  separate statehood for Kodagu and formation of  Kodava land  on Telangana lines.

Speaking to reporters here, Nachappa said  Kodavas who are linguistic minorities have been fighting for separate statehood since long and added so far there has been no response from the government for the same.

The Centre which took a bold decision to form Telangana should now make a move towards formation of Kodava Land, he said adding the November 1 rally will be taken out from Ramleela Maidan to Janthar Manthar.

Kodavas will leave for Delhi by a special train  from Mysore railway station on October 29 at 10 am, he informed.

Nachappa further demanded  that Kodavas be exempted from availing licence for guns.
