Mysuru: In the name of development, the Mysuru city corporation is cutting all the trees in the city, said retired DCF Srinivas.

There has been a decrease in the number of  trees in the city already, but still the govt has not taken any step to prevent the cutting of trees. Cutting down trees is against law. Trees should be saved for our next generation he added.

Footpaths should have trees which give shade to pedestrians, said one of the protestors.

Environment Conservation Committee President Bhanu Mohan, Balakrishna, People’s Park students and others protested.
