Mysore: The inspectors of all Police Stations in the city held a public grievance meet at SC/ST colonies located within their respective jurisdiction on Sunday October 26.

The meet is generally held on the fourth Sunday of every month, wherein the department addresses the grievances of the residents.

Saraswathipuram Police Inspector Venkatesh held the meet at Kukkarahalli community hall, during which residents came up with numerous complaints related to civic issues.

Some residents complained of lack of drinking water supply in Kukkarahalli, while a few others complained of lack of reading facilities in the library located in the Kukkarahalli school premises.

A few others drew the attention of the Inspector to the dilapidated condition of the poles supporting the transformer right in front of the library. They also alleged that the authorities concerned had failed to initiate measures for replacing the poles.

Some residents complained of illegal activities going on in the locality, to which the Police gave an assurance that they would initiate action on receiving complaints.

Similar meetings were held by the Ashokapuram Police, Udayagiri Police at the community hall in Lidkar colony and all other Police Stations in the city at designated places, during which the residents from SC/ST colonies aired their grievances.
