Pervert arrested and a Petrol bunk robbed in the city

Mysuru: The city witnessed accidents killing 2 people, the arrest of a pervert and a burglary in a petrol bunk  over the last 24 hours

Techie dies
A Techie died after hitting  the road divider on Saturday late night on Hebbal ring road. The deceased was identified as Swagath Gowda, a native of Maddur who works for Wipro. Police said, Swagath was heading towards his home in Vijayanagar after attending a marriage function in the city on his bike. He crashed into the road divider on the ring road. In the bargain, he was dragged around 20 meters along with his bike. The rider died on the spot, Vijayanagara police have informed his family and registered a case.

Youth escapes miraculously

Early in the morning, a car toppled near Jaladarshini on the Mysuru-Mangaluru highway. Abhishek, a resident of R K Nagar was driving the car when it toppled. There was no injury reported.  Police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control as there was a huge  traffic jam at the junction. Police suspected that Abhishek was not sober, however this was as yet unconfirmed.

8 year old boy dies

An eight year old boy died after he accidentally fell into an abandoned well in Nehrunagar, on the outskirts  of the city on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Tanaji son of Sambhaji Inehale who works as a KSRTC driver at the Mysuru Depot here. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon while the boy Tanaji was playing with his sister. He accidentally fell into a 20 ft well. Soon his friends asked the passersby to rescue him but by that time, the boy had breathed his last.  It was also reported that the boy had fought with his mother that he had refused to go to school in the morning

Udayagiri police visited the spot and lifted out the body and registered a case against the land owner for the negligence.

A pervert is caught

A Security guard of Kalyana Pantapa, was caught for allegedly recording videos of women in the bathroom.

The accused Manjunath a resident of Saraswathipuram, allegedly hid his camera phone in the bathroom to record videos of women in the nude. However the women who came for the marriage found this mobile in bathroom and informed their relatives. They called the Saraswathipuram police officials and explained about the incident. Later,  police  arrested the Manjunath,and  a case has been registered.

Robbery at  Petrol Bunk
A gang of 8 burglars assaulted petrol bunk employees and robbed cash of Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.The incident occurred on Saturday evening at Bharath Petroleum Corporation, Rani Service station, belonging to former minister Rani Sathish on the Mahadevapura, Rammanahali road. The burglars  attacked the workers who were on duty and made away with the money. The photos have been captured on CCTV camera. Following the incident Additional Superintendent of Police Kala Krishnaswamy and others inspected the spot. They suspect inside involvement of working there.
