People urged to make best use of govt schemes

Mysore : The public must make best use of the various facilities and schemes envisaged by the government for their benefit, said MLA Vasu.

Speaking  at the Pension Adalat programme organised at the Jaladarshini premises here on Saturday July 5  to distribute sanction letters for various pension schemes, the MLA said  the Sandhya Suraksha scheme, pension scheme for widows, disabled etc are launched for the welfare of the people. If the eligible beneficiaries fail to avail the facilities, then the government will be at no loss, instead it will  utilise the funds for other purposes, he said.

The MLA said ventilators costing Rs 50 lakhs  are being provided to the KR Hospital. People suffering from various ailments can submit their applications seeking medical aid, at the Jaladarshini office. The applications will be scrutinised and recommended for medical aid, he said.

A total of 156 beneficiaries of various schemes were issued cheques and sanction letters on the occasion.

Rajeshwari, Mayor,  Pushpalatha Chikkanna, former mayor. Bhagavathi Subrahmanya, Prashanth Gowda, Ramesh Manjula, Councillors and many others were present.
