Mysore :In the light of women’s safety taking center stage in the country, It is learnt that the Mysore police will shortly launch “Chamundi Vanitha Sahayavani”, a patrol service meant to assist women. They will keep a hawk’s eye on ragging and eve teasing.

Two vehicles with a woman PSI, Head Constable and two Constables will undertake city rounds between 8 am and 9 pm in K.R. Sub-Division, NR Sub-Division and Devaraja Sub-Division. Women needing help can call Police Control Room on Ph:0821-2418339.

Reports say that the City Police have taken another initiative and will launch a Student Association for Road Safety, Student Police Cadet Programme, Drive against High Beam Light Usage, M-Track, New Band House Building, Indoor Firing Range and Traffic Warden Organisation- Batch 2 in the coming days..
