Palace photo shoot row: Preliminary report submitted to government

Mysuru: The preliminary report regarding photo shoot incident inside Mysuru palace, which was investigated by T Venkatesh, Additional Deputy Commissioner and in-charge director of Mysuru Palace Board, has been submitted to the government.

With regard to the same, Deputy Commissioner C Shikha said that they are awaiting a reply in this regard.

“On Saturday we submitted the preliminary report to the government. The content of the report can’t be revealed but there are recommendations for enhancing security and how to tighten administration,” she hinted.

Go Green

She was speaking after a sapling planting driver-‘Go Green’ at her residence, held as a part of the World Environment Day celebration.

Over 40 saplings were planted at Deputy Commissioner’s residence. She said that the district administration intends to plant as many as one lakh saplings over the next three months, with 25,000 saplings having been planted over the last two days.

The DC informed that emphasis has not been laid just on planting saplings, but prime importance has been given on maintanance of the saplings as well. Mysuru Urban Development Authority has come forward to sponsor 5000 tree guards”.

Deputy Conservator of Forest Karikalan said that only indigenous plants would be planted.
