Mysuru: In an incident that could stand as a testimony to sinking level of humanity in people, three road mishap victims lost their lives after their plea to onlookers to rush them to hospital fell on deaf ears. Even as onlookers remained shooting the video of the mishap, interviewing the victims, about their name and whereabouts etc, none had the sensitivity to fell their pain.
The mishap had occurred two days ago at Hunasur-HD Kote area. It is said that three youth were on one bike, darting to attend a feast when a KSRTC bus knocked them down.
While the rider died on the spot, the rest two remained pleading for help, laying on pool of blood. After pleading for over one hour, the two met their tragic end on the road.
The deceased were Mahesh (35), Ramesh (45) and Manjunath (40). Tragic but true, the people who gathered at the accident spot did not bother calling the ambulance or the police because they wanted a live video of the mishap.
If at all the people had resorted to calling the ambulance, the two would have been alive.
