Mysuru: A powerful minister’s son, accused of collecting bribes in cases related to sand mining and supposed to appear in the court was seen with the police officials partying and riding on their shoulders in an inebriated state clearly revealing the unholy nexus.

PWD minister HC Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose taking a ‘shoulder ride’

The person is none other than Sunil Bose, son of PWD minister HC Mahadevappa. The police officials involved are Sub Inspector Shivanna of T.Narsipur police station and the Sub Inspector of Chamarajanagar, Raghavendra Gowda who was recently promoted to ACB. The photo image which has generated a lot of public wrath exposes the unholy nexus between the son of the minister and the police officials. In the image, Sunil Bose is enjoying a “shoulder ride” with a cigarette in hand and liquor and water bottles on display.

It may be recalled, a scientist from mines and geology department VJ Alphonse had collected Rs 1 lakh from a petitioner Basavaraju. During that process, Alphonse was nabbed by the Lokayukta police. He had made it clear to the police that he had taken the bribe amount due to enormous pressure exerted by Sunil Bose.

The Lokayukta police had let off Sunil Bose and his associate Raju citing that they were not government employees. However, the city’s third additional session and special court judge S.Sudhindranath had asked Sunil Bose and Raju to appear in the court.

Seized lorry involved in sand mining operations, transports sugar cane from factories

The officials belonging to mines and geology department had seized a lorry involved in transporting sand. The lorry was let off because the owner was close to the minister’s son Sunil Bose. The RTI activist who gathered the information has a document where it is written, that the lorry was let off after a period of 5 months when the offenders paid the fine amount.

To everyone’s surprise, the same lorry was found transporting sugarcane from factories during the seizure period.
