Mysuru: A 24-year-old youth was stabbed to death by a group of youths who had come to the spot while he was celebrating his birthday at Neelakantanagar layout in Nanjangud town.

The youth was identified as Prasad.

On Sunday night, some youths from another community allegedly started a fight at Neelakantanagar circle after they objected to a group of locals celebrating birthday.

Locals immediately rushed the injured to a public hospital and admitted him.

Pro-Hindu activists gathered in front of Nanjangud Town Police Station late at night and demanded the arrest of the accused.
