Hubballi: In a twist to the murder of a man who was strangulated to death by throwing chilli powder in his eyes, investigations have revealed that the man’s illicit relationship with a married woman was the reason behind the murder.

Ningappa Navalur (33), who was sleeping in a farmhouse in Jinnur village of Kalaghatgi taluk in Dharwad district, was strangulated to death two days ago after throwing chilli powder in his eyes.

The deceased youth was having an illicit relationship with a married woman from Jinnur village. The woman’s husband and brother committed the murder as they were fed up with an illicit relationship. The woman’s husband Muthappa Hullolli and brother Veerabhadrappa Jalihal have been arrested and are interrogating the accused. within two days, a team led by inspector Srisaila Koujalagi sent the allegations and them behind bars.
