Mysuru: “The University has not taken any responsibility in getting fellowship form the UGC and the Scholars are not getting the fellowship properly from last 5 to 6 months” complained the research scholars during a protest. The Scholars complained that the officers in the University don’t respond to their queries in time.

Most of the Research Scholars are from poor background and depending on the fellowship and its their right to get the fellowship for their talent and effort said the scholars.

C Basavaraju Registrar of University of Mysore tried to convince the the protesters to withdraw on the grounds that he will take immediate action on the given request.

He said that the University always tries help the scholars but the fund from UGC has been delayed and he has requested UGC to release fund twice and UGC has assured to release within the 31th of Dec, if not he will be visiting UGC Delhi in person and talk to UGC for a permanent solution.
