Mysuru: Polling in Mysuru south graduate constituency were held as many political leaders, senior government officials, writers and religious heads cast their votes today. 

The response was very good since morning as many graduates came out to exercise their franchise in spite of slight drizzle and were seen standing in the queue waiting for their turn.

Prominent among who exercised franschise were Revenue Minister V Srnivas Prasad, BJP M R Pratap Simha, BJP leaders Go.Madhusudan, Ramdas, Deputy Commssioner Shikha, Writer SL Byrappa, Suttur Seer Deshikendra Maha Swamiji, legislator Vasu and contesting candidate from BJP MV Ravishankar, Congress candidate Dr.HN Ravindra and Independent candidate professor KS Bhagwan. The sealed ballot boxes are kept in JSS college premises on Ooty Road with adequate security. The counting will take place on the June 13 where the fate of the contesting candidates will be known. 

MP struggles

Mysuru MP Pratapsimhaa had tough time in locating his voting booth and finally succeeded in casting his vote at Sadvidya School in Vijayanagar Area. However his wife Arpitha failed in her attempt as her name was missing from voters list.

Clash between supporters

When the MP came to cast his vote at Bala Bodhini primary school, the Congress supporters objected vociferously as he was given preferential treatment to walk inside the booth with many supporters.
