Mysuru: With the royal city of Mysuru gearing up for the royal wedding slated to be held on June 27, the Mysuru Palace will remain closed for tourists from June 24 to 29.

King Yaduveer will tie the knot with Trishika Kumari Singh from Dungerpur Royal family on June 27. However, since the wedding rituals will begin from June 24 ending with reception on the 28th, the arrangements have been made to keep the palace closed for tourists, on behest of Royal Mother Pramodha Devi.

An estimated 35,000 invitees are expected to attend the royal wedding. The Mysuru palace, which now under control of the government, will witness solemnising of a wedding after a huge gap of 40 years as the last marriage held at Amba Vilas Palace was in 1976 when King Srikanthadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar married Pramodha Devi, who is the Royal Mother of Yaduveer.
