Mysuru: Mymul (Mysuru milk union limited ) vendors finally succeeded in tracing the culprit who used to flick higher denomination currency notes in a flash and show deficit in the total collection amount. The cashier’s misdeeds came to light on verification of CCTV footage on August 30.
The Mymul unit at Siddarthnagar has been in news for the all the wrong reasons in the recent past though none of the incidents came to light. Vendors associated to Mymul used to return after delivering milk and other products in the evening. As per the guidelines, they had to deposit the cash amount collected by them by the same evening at the cash counter.
The vendors used to remit the cash at the counter everyday and on most occasions the cashier used to demand extra amount in the denomination of Rs 500 or Rs 1000 showing shortfall in the collection amount. The vendors ultimately used to pay the difference amount from their pockets to ensure parity in the collection amount.
During the last eight months vendors lost their hard earned money on several occasions due to the misdeeds committed by the cashier. On Saturday four vendors decided to put an end to the menace and counted the cash in advance and handed it over to the cashier. As usual the cashier managed to flick two notes of Rs 500 denomination from one of the vendor’s collection amount. When they insisted on the verification of the CCTV footage, cashier’s misdeed came to light.
