Mysuru: In a rare incident an encroacher who used Government land to convert it into a parking zone enacted a death drama in front of the city corporation officials on Friday, May 20.
When the corporation officials received a complaint that parking fee was collected in the encroached land without due permission from them, they visited the spot to assess the real situation. When accused Mahesh realized the move by the authorities, he immediately swung into action and took a container filled with kerosene and enacted a suicide drama leaving onlookers panic stricken.

MCC Mayor B.L.Byrappa who visited the spot near Agrahara Uttaradhi Mutt, informed the officials accompanying him to take over the land after verifying the relevant documents. The Accused Mahesh who staged the high drama was handed over to K.R.Puram police for further investigation.
