Mysuru: The bail plea of CM Siddaramaiah’s close confidant K. Marigowda, who had surrendered on Wednesday in a case related to the alleged verbal abuse of DC C Shikha will be heard on Friday, August 5.
Marigowda sent to judicial custody till August 16-1

Marigowda, who was remanded to judicial custody till August 16, had filed the bail petition in the third JMFC Court in Mysuru. He is currently lodged in the Central Prison in Mysuru. Marigowda’s anticipatory bail pleas were dismissed by the 7th additional district and sessions court and also the High Court.

It may be recalled that, the DC was abused by Marigowda, a former ZP president when the CM was in city to attend an Ifthar party. Soon after the CM left the government guest house, Marigowda and his supporters verbally abused and threatened DC Shikha. She, instead of following CM’s cavalcade, went to Nazarbad police station and lodged a complaint.

Marigowda surrendered himself at Nazarbad police station on August 3.
