Mandya: Frustrated by the turn of events in the recent past, a family with four children has demanded right to ‘euthanasia’ as they have no place to live.
                                                                         Brahmesh and his family

Residents of AP Doddi village under BG pura Hobli in Mandya District, Brahmesh with his wife and four children have sent a letter addressed to the Chief Minister with a copy to Home minister and Deputy Commissioner MN Nagabhushan pleading Euthanasia.

Brahmesh s/o Jayappa owns 33 cents of land in survey no 137/1 in his village. He alleges that this land was grabbed by MS Raju , a retired employee at the state government secretariat Vidhana Soudha. Now he has put a fence all round the property by denying the rights to Brahmesh’s family.

Brahmesh has sought justice from the authorities with in his district including the Belakavadi police, Tahsildar ML Shivashankar and Deputy Commissioner and had submitted a written complaint to them and made several visits but all his efforts have gone in vain.

As the family is on streets now, they have written to the CM, Home Minister and the DC seeking Euthanasia.

Though the law does not permit Euthanasia, the family has been vehemently pushing for the same as they feel their death is the only answer to their miserable plight.

One has to wait and watch if the government will come forth to help the family by providing monetary aid or allows them to meet their end demanding for ‘right to death’.
