Mandya: In order to extend support to Mandya Lok Sabha independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh, social activist Dr. Ravindra has begun campaigning, here on Sunday, April 7.

He said, “It was for the first time in 75 years that a candidate from other district is contesting from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, and trying to come to power through unethical practices of introducing three other candidates with the same name as that of Mandya Lok Sabha constituency independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh.”

“By this, they are trying to fool the people of Mandya. In order to avoid the district going into the hands of people from other districts, kindly vote for Sumalatha Ambareesh, who is from this land and see to it that your (people of Mandya) dignity is not hurt”, he added.

Dr. Ravindra criticized the move of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy of placing his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy as a candidate and said, “This land has seen great leaders like Chowdaiah, H K Veeranna Gowda, former chief minister and foreign affairs minister S M Krishna and others. Amid this, a 27-year-old boy Nikhil, who has no knowledge about the contribution of this land, is contesting from here and trying to test the patience of the people. I condemn this move of CM HDK.”

“He is following ‘dynasty politics’. Why don’t they instead choose party workers and make them as the Lok Sabha candidate and send them to parliament? If he was truly concerned about the development of the district, then he would definitely choose a party worker, rather than his family members”, he added.

“JDS party, especially CM HDK has completely neglected and failed in implementing developmental projects in the district. In order to retain the dignity of the district vote for ‘Rebel star’ Late Ambareesh’s wife Sumalatha Ambareesh”, Dr. Ravindra requested the voters.
