Mandya:  Mandya MP Ramya who arrived  in the town on December 31, Tuesday  to enquire the health of the injured in the bus mishap that occurred a few days ago, was gheraoed the JD(S) Councillors.

The Councillors took her to task questioning why she had arrived almost four days after the tragedy and asked if at all she had any genuine concern towards her constituency. They also charged the MP of being irresponsible.

The protestors were in no mood to hear Ramya though she  cited ill-health as the reason for her delayed visit. The actress turned MP later visited the hospital, spoke to the injured undergoing treatment and assured compensation.

Here it is worth mentioning that  even Housing Minister Ambarish had to face the wrath of the councillors when he had arrived a day after the mishap.
