Mysuru: In a bid to ensure smooth conduct of Mahashivarathri celebrations, City Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem, in a press release, has urged people not to resort to acts like destroying flower pots kept in front of houses, plucking flowers, stealing tender coconuts, changing or defacing nameboards of commercial establishments, keeping stones in the middle of the roads and breaking empty glass bottles on streets.

Screening films in public places, using loud speakers without prior permission, troubling pedestrians by over-speeding on roads and other vandalizing activities by anti-social elements will attract criminal action, the release added.
Dr. Saleem has also urged those coming across such actions to contact the nearest Police Station or call 100, 2418139 or 2418339 for necessary action, besides urging citizens to co-operate with the Police in maintaining law and order.
